Lisa's Eagle Documentary Trailer

Lisa Loucks Christenson Publishing, LLC is a 100% female-owned business based out of Rochester, Minnesota. At age four Lisa began drawing and creating picture books, flip books. By age eight, Lisa was shooting pictures, saving her allowances to buy her next eight-exposures-pack of Polaroid® film. In 5th grade, Wilson Rawls the author of Where the Red Fern Grows, visited her elementary school to share his story, and his path to publication.

He left an impression in her heart about the value of how we each have a path in this life. Some of us are storytellers while others are the keepers of stories, that may in time, share their tales with others. Wilson Rawls visit is one reason Lisa believes in educating our youth, teaching them the value of books by opening new worlds to students. Lisa's thankful her school understood the value of author visits and encourages other schools to participate in giving todays' youth this same opportunity.

By age 14, while marketing her photos, publishing her first images in the school yearbook, Lisa won her first national photo contest. After college she worked in advertising, graphic design, subscriptions, fulfillment, as a reporter, photographer at newspapers, magazines, and as a traveling photographer before Lisa launched out into her own photo and writing business. Lisa continues to shoot stock, lifestyle, food, environmental, pet, animal, agriculture and travel assignments for most publications, book publishers, corporations worldwide.

Lisa's love for outdoor stories, both fiction and non-fiction, developed with her background and passion in natural sciences, but also from working as an student assistant at Quarry Hill Nature Center working with the photo programs, slide archives, a few seasons working for the Minnesota Conservation Corps. After years of freelancing writing for and shooting pictures for other publishers, Lisa's literary agent signed a book deal that later led her to starting her own publishing company, creating her own wildlife documentaries from her lifetime work. Credits include: Christian Schools International, Esquire, Disney, Diversion, HSUS, Kind News,Self Magazine, Woman's World, more.

While working on non-fiction, Lisa's love for creating fiction series grew and she launched numerous stories, that went on to become #1 international best sellers, win international writing competitions, and more.

Lisa is the Host of both Book Divas Show™ and Lisa's Walk the Talk Show™, a one hour long podcast, formerly internationally syndicated on terrestrial and internet radio stations worldwide - recorded live or available as downloadable podcasts. Each episode features the lives of a featured guest including: celebrities, entertainers, artists, authors, country legends. Her guest list includes: Aaron Tippin, Aaron Neville, Pam Tillis, Charlie Daniels, Porter Wagoner, Jim Owen, William Lee Golden of the Oakridge Boys, Tommy Lee and the Shondells, Waycross, Tom Wilson (creator of Ziggy), Jean Craighead George, Pam Tillis, B.J. Daniels, Joanna Wayne, crime authors, police detectives, and Tasha Tudor's granddaughter (on behalf of Tasha) and many authors, and guests with unique stories to share. She's brought her show in-house, as a podcast she posts on her growing network of sites.

For the last 12 years Lisa's outdoor photography has focused on several books she's working on in the blufflands of southeastern Minnesota, has spent countless hours in the wild documenting the lives several pair of wild bald eagle; their behavior, interaction with each other, and other wildlife, through the seasons, along with her other documentaries including Winter Bugs! Lisa's study of insect life during the winter featuring over 200 insects she documented, both water and land insects, including caterpillars!

In 2010, Lisa's eagle story aired on Ron Schara's Minnesota Bound, she's been a guest on the Big Wild radio show, area news stations, newspapers, and magazines. Lisa's Bald Eagle Documentary and Winter Bugs! Exhibits have rotated between her galleries, and the National Eagle Center, she is national speaker and shares her passion and love of the outdoors through several outdoor programs she's developed from her own photos and research.

Lisa owns eCompass™, her 32-year-old dispatch and fulfillment center for businesses, publishers, media intelligence worldwide, which is also the backbone for her publishing house call handling, inquires, dispatching, fulfillment.

Lisa's love for Jesus and family is her constant compass. Through the toughest of times, Lisa and her family have relied, heavily, on faith that can and has moved mountains. Those who know Lisa, personally, joke that she climbs the backsides of mountains to reach the top, but in doing so, sees views that others never reach on the common paths.

Her priorities remain: God. Family. Work, and in that order.
